I’m Robert, a software engineer based in Rome focused on backend development, Go and Node.js primarily, with frontend experience that I keep sharp by building and maintaining this site in TypeScript.
My passion for computers started back in middle school around 2010, tinkering with Visual Basic. Through high school that curiosity turned into a habit: gaming, distro-hopping through every Linux flavour I could find, picking up Java and C, and somewhere along the way falling down the Assembly rabbit hole. Around the same time, Android got its hooks into me. I was forever flashing nightly builds, running rooted devices, and pushing things just far enough to brick four Samsung phones in the process. A problem I eventually solved by switching to iPhone.
I moved my portfolio to this site to have a place where I can track what I learn and share it publicly. You can also find me on GitHub and LinkedIn.
Currently working at HCLSoftware.
Below is a summary of my work experience and the tech stack I’ve used across the years.
